متن کاملAn unusual cause of intestinal obstruction in an infant: phytobezoar within a Meckel diverticulum.
We reported a case of duodenal obstruction caused by phytobezoar in an 11 months old infant. There was absent history of unusual food ingestion and the definitive diagnosis could only be made intraoperatively as signs of intestinal obstruction evolved. The clinical course was described with a review of literature on this rare condition.

A 35-year-old healthy man presented with gradually progressive abdominal pain and distention, nausea, vomiting, early satiety, and 4.5-kg weight gain over 3-4 months. His routine blood work, thyroid panel, ultrasound, and abdominal/pelvic CT were unremarkable. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) revealed a large gastric phytobezoar extending from gastric fundus to antrum (Figure 1). The patient di...

We report a rare case of abdominal splenosis in a 7-year-old boy, 3 years after an abdominal blunt t...

In this paper, we aimed to present a male patient of 42 years of age who developed intestinal obstruction due to left paraduoden...
